PA-RISC Expansion Cards

There were many HP custom expansion cards sold with and for HP 9000 computers. Many were custom designs, other were, sometimes relabeled, third party designs. This list is not exhaustive and based on HP documentation from the 1990s.

EISA/ISA

HP designed and shipped many custom EISA expansion cards for its HP 9000 workstations and servers.

GSC/HSC

HP GSC expansion cards care similar-sized to EISA cards and are thus called EISA formfactor. There are also HSC (about 3×5 inches) and GSC-M cards. Some GSC+ cards are also called HSC, but in fact are EISA formfactor.

SGC

There are two types of HP SGC expansion cards shipped by HP: larger DIO-II formfactor and EISA-sized (EISA formfactor) cards.

GIO is the special formfactor of GSC expansion cards for HP 9000 712 workstations.
