PA-RISC HP 9000 Computers
HP 9000 © HP in the 1980s

HP produced many different PA-RISC computers in the HP 9000 Unix systems between the 1980s and 2000s as technical workstations and business servers for Unix.

Different types of PA-RISC computers were sold. Workstations included HP 9000 700 and HP Visualize, plus HP 9000 800, lettered and rp servers until HP PA-RISC and Itanium converged in the 2000s. There were also niche PA-RISC products like industrial VME boards and protocol analyzers and portable PA-RISC computers.

HP 9000 and PA-RISC computers were mostly used between the 1980s and 2000s for Unix technical computing, design and analysis and were sold over a long timeline.

HP 9000 700 Workstations

Many different PA-RISC workstations were sold in the 1990s from small HP 9000 712, 715 and B-Class desktops to heavy HP 9000 735, 755 and powerful C-Class workstations.

Visualize workstations

HP changed PA-RISC workstations model branding from HP 9000 to Visualize in the late-1990s, with B-Class, C-Class and J-Class workstations for technical computing.
